Our Bergamot Essential Oil is produced by the extrusion method from the peels of the bergamot orange (Citrus bergamia), capturing its unique aromatic essence. The raw material is sourced from Italy and the U.S. Bergamot has been prized for centuries in perfumery, particularly in the Mediterranean region where the bergamot orange is predominantly cultivated, and its natural linalool and linalyl acetate give the oil its soft, refined character.
Aroma: fresh and sweet-citrus, with light, fruity and floral notes — bright, uplifting and calming at the same time.
How to Enjoy Bergamot Essential Oil:
- Diffuser: Add a few drops for an uplifting yet calming atmosphere — lovely for a slow weekend morning or an evening wind-down.
- Massage & body oil: Dilute with a carrier oil so that the essential oil does not exceed 2% of the total volume — for instance, 1 ml of essential oil in 50 ml of carrier oil such as jojoba, sweet almond, avocado, olive, coconut or grapeseed oil. Best for evening massages; skin is left soft and smooth. Always perform a patch test before applying to larger skin areas.
- Natural perfume: A drop in a diluted perfume blend adds a sparkling citrus top note — wear it in the evening or on skin covered from the sun.
- Bath: Mix a few drops into a spoonful of carrier oil, then add to warm bathwater for a fresh, fragrant soak.
- Home & linen: Add to natural household cleaners or a linen spray for a clean, citrus-fresh scent.
Blends well with: lavender, jasmine, geranium, cedarwood, frankincense, black pepper, clary sage and other citrus oils.

- Sun sensitivity: bergamot oil can make skin more sensitive to sunlight. Avoid direct sun and UV exposure (including tanning beds) on skin where the oil was applied for 12 hours after use.
- Store tightly closed in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
