Lavender Essential Oil
Soft, floral and herbaceous with a clean, powdery finish, lavender is one of the best-loved scents in aromatherapy. Steam-distilled from the flowers of Lavandula angustifolia, it is the aroma of fresh linens, unhurried baths and a calm evening wind-down.
The scent
- Opening: fresh, green and herbal.
- Heart: sweet lavender blossom.
- Dry-down: soft, powdery and clean.
Ways to enjoy it
- Diffuser: 3–5 drops for a soft, calming aroma as the evening winds down.
- Pillow & linen spray: 10–15 drops in a 100 ml spray bottle of water with a teaspoon of witch hazel; shake before each mist — a gentle floral scent for your bedtime ritual.
- Bath: blend 5 drops into a tablespoon of carrier oil or bath salts, then add to a warm bath.
- Massage & body oil: 1–2 drops per teaspoon (5 ml) of jojoba or coconut oil; skin feels soft and smells beautifully floral.
- Skin care: stir a drop into a palmful of unscented lotion for a lightly scented, soft-feeling finish.
- Home: a classic scent for linen closets and DIY cleaning sprays.
