Lemongrass Essential Oil
Fresh-cut lemongrass in a bottle: zesty, green and a little earthy, with a sunny citrus sparkle. Steam-distilled from the leaves of Cymbopogon citratus, it is a classic outdoor-season scent and a bright, clean aroma for the home, the spa bath and handmade candles and soaps.
The scent
- Opening: sharp, lemony and green.
- Heart: grassy, herbal and fresh.
- Dry-down: soft, slightly earthy warmth.
Ways to enjoy it
- Diffuser: 2–4 drops for a bright, fresh-cut aroma — indoors or on a covered patio.
- Home: add to DIY cleaning sprays for a crisp, clean citrus-herb scent.
- Massage: 1 drop per teaspoon (5 ml) of carrier oil for an invigorating, spa-style massage; skin feels soft and smooth.
- Bath & shower: blend 3 drops into a tablespoon of carrier oil or bath salts, or add a drop to a palmful of unscented body wash.
- Candles & soap: a fresh, sunny note for handmade candles and soaps.
Blends well with: lavender, geranium, cedarwood, ginger, lemon, patchouli, rosemary and tea tree.
